The Vespa 400 is a small urban vehicle developed by Piaggio, the manufacturer of the famous Vespa models of the 1950s. Launched in 1957, the Vespa 400 is the ideal city car: small footprint, small, economical engine, without sacrificing driving pleasure. The engine is a 2-stroke twin-cylinder that enables the vehicle to reach a top speed of 80 km/h. French manufacturer ACMA will also produce the Vespa 400 at its French plant. The 3-volume architecture ensures good balance, and the presence of a soft top lets you enjoy the great outdoors while reducing the claustrophobic feeling inherent in the narrowness of the living space.
This small ACMA Vespa 400 convertible, although partially dismantled, provides a sound basis for work after body restoration.
*This lot is sold by designation and will not be exhibited at the show*.
