1954 ROVIN D4
Serial number C3076
Rare and sympathetic microcar
Same owner for 29 years
French registration
It was after the Second World War that racing driver and cycle builder Raoul Pegulu, Marquis de Rovin took a real interest in the production of micro-cars. The 1927 Rovin 500 racing car was a formidable competitor to other BNC, Chenard et Walker, Messier and Sizaire buggies. In fact, in 1928, it took first place in the Côte d'Argenteuil, Château-Thierry and 17 Tournants (Yvelines) races. In 1945, despite the occupation, Raoul and his brother Robert de Rovin produced a prototype micro-car. Three examples were exhibited at the 1946 Paris Motor Show.
Its featherweight of less than 400 kilos and minimal overall dimensions make it a true micro-car! The Rovin D4 we're offering for sale is a beautifully restored example. In burgundy red, it's a collector's item for any microcar enthusiast, to be parked alongside Isetta, Goggomobil, Vespa 400 and other Peels, Messerschmitt...
All the vehicles in the Rollet collection have been out of service for at least 5 years, and will need to be restarted.
