1946 CITROEN Type 23 RU Series: 306075 Collector's grey card 6 000 / 8 000€ - Same owner for 32 years - Beautiful car - Almost new engine - 18 seats The Type 23, better known as the U23, is a utility truck launched by Citroën in 1935 at the Paris Motor Show. Equipped with a front-wheel drive engine, this truck has a payload of 1,500kg. As early as 1935, Citroën launched a coach version, bodied either by the factory or by independent coachbuilders on the basis of a chassis sold by the factory. In 1941, the 23 Ru was launched, with a longer wheelbase and a reinforced chassis to increase payload. After the war, production resumed without any major changes. In 1953, a new cab was introduced to modernize the vehicle's appearance. The example we offer is a type 23 Ru, which left the factory in 1946, and was then sent to the coachbuilder Beleclot in Grenoble to receive its Autocar bodywork. It was then delivered directly to Martin Cocher Frères in St Colomban des Villards. As an anecdote, this bus regularly ran between St Colomban des Villards and the collector's home. The company kept it until 1991, when Mr Rollet purchased it directly from them. Since then, he has taken part in a number of local events with it, before putting it away. *This lot is sold by designation and will not be exhibited at the show*. All vehicles in the Rollet collection have been out of service for at least 5 years, and will need to be serviced and inspected. All the vehicles in the Rollet collection have been out of service for at least 5 years, and will need to be recommissioned and undergo a technical inspection. 1946 CITROEN Type 23 RU Series: 306075 Collector's registration - Same owner for 32 years - Very nice car - Almost new engine - 18 seats The Type 23, better known as the U23, is a utility truck launched by Citroën in 1935 at the Paris Motor Show.
