KPM Berlin picture cup The Honey Thief Each with underglaze blue sceptre marks circa 1820/30, uninterpreted brush marks, cup in the form of a kalathos with a campanile handle, the reverse with a rectangular cartouche depicting a humorous scene in fine polychrome onglaze painting, depiction of a faun resting in the shade of a tree, pointing with raised forefinger at the putto fleeing from bees, not quite fittingly completed saucer with hourglass and inscription "Andenken fröhlicher Stunden."Also decorated with gold rims, the cup mouth expertly restored to the left of the motif and the saucer scratched, total h 10 cm.
