Beautiful sword from the early 19th century, triangular blade with three hollow sides, one-third of the blade decorated with incised gilded engravings on a blue water bed, the hollow side bears the three letters "ISE" identifying the sword maker, slight damage to the base of the blade. Chased gilt-bronze mounting, short-tailed cap, pommel encircled by a laurel wreath, melon-ribbed pommel plate, single guard limb, spiral scroll joining the plate, quillon arched forward as a pug's head, main plate with beaded edge featuring an allegory of Victory in an oval cartouche, on a bed of falling flags and laurel branches. Ebony spindle, squared on both sides, with smooth grooved sides. The front of the spindle has a diamond-shaped brass plate riveted to it (awaiting engraving). In its detached leather scabbard, floral button cap and reattachable bolt.
