Composite altarpiece comprising a central panel carved in polychrome wood relief depicting the Descent from the Cross, probably Renaissance; set in a 17th-century carved and gilded wood register with an arched central section and upper spandrels adorned with putti, framed by fluted columns and surmounted by an entablature decorated with foliage, ovals and dentils.
Panel dimensions: 56 x 40 cm, total altarpiece dimensions: 94.5 x 84.5 cm
Accidents to the polychromy and to the hand of the man holding the nails, polychromy of the central panel added, accidents and gilding on the altarpiece.
