A pair of Balkan-Ottoman flintlock pistols, 19th century
Smooth bore barrels in 16.3 mm caliber, florally cut and engraved on top (somewhat worn). Engraved flintlocks, one with heavy action, the other with a defective cocking catch. Full stocks carved with fine vine work, each with brass wire inlays in the area of the grip and the forestock. Iron/brass furniture in fine relief, barrel bands with indicated ramrods. Signs of age and use, one grip broken, minor repairs in places. Length 51 cm each.
