An early French musket from the armory of the Princes zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck, circa 1700
Smooth bore barrel in 19 mm caliber, two different stamped marks "Krone/LS" and "Krone/S" above the breech. Flintlock with slightly curved, domed lock plate. Dark full stock with smooth iron furniture, the Salm stamp on the underside of the butt behind the trigger guard. Wooden ramrod with iron tip. Thumb plate missing, repairs in front of the trigger guard. Length 156 cm.
