A German percussion rifle, circa 1800
Heavy, rifled octagonal barrel in 16 mm caliber, bore somewhat rough and in need of cleaning, brass front sight and fixed rear sight on top, receiver for a deerstalker on the right side of the muzzle. Converted percussion lock with pistol safety, set trigger. Slightly carved full stock with patchbox, iron furniture and bone inlays in the area of the lock screws. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Iron parts cleaned and slightly pitted in places, stock bumped and with signs of age and use. Length 115 cm. Attached old leather shoulder strap with embroidered shoulder rest.
