Otto Modersohn Moonrise in Worpswede Probably around 1900 Colored chalk on paper, presumably mounted on cardboard by the artist. 23.5 x 30.5 cm. Framed under glass. Signed 'O Modersohn' in black lower right and additionally signed and titled 'O. Modersohn "Moonrise in Worpswede"' in pencil lower left. Provenance Private property North Rhine-Westphalia Depicted is the old Worpswede smithy, of which there are several variants of Modersohn's painting. The building served as Hans am Ende's studio, among other things.
