Miniature portrait of a young woman of the Louis XIV period with corkscrew curls and rich pearl jewelry, wearing a gold-embroidered dress with a jeweled pearl drop brooch at the neckline. Enamel on copper. 5.1 x 4.2 cm (oval). In a gilt silver frame with a punched anthemion frieze border, gilt metal attachment around a blue glass plate on the reverse. Circa 1840/1850.
