Chokwe comb Angola Wood with dark brown patina H. 10 cm Chokwe comb, Angola H. 4 in Small but no less carefully crafted, this cisakulo comb is decorated with a geometric motif. The male face shows a lighter patina on the headdress, nose and chin. The wide, closely-spaced teeth suggest that this comb was intended as an ornament. According to Marie-Louise Bastin, combs worn as ornaments were the prerogative of Chokwe men.
