Early Lucanian red-figure bell krater by the Cyclopean painter. Circa 410 BC. H 32.6 cm, ø mouth 33.8 cm. On one side a young woman wearing a jacket and tanie between two youthful athletes, both holding a strigilis and one also holding a stick. On the other side, three young men in coats in conversation. With copies of a storage certificate from the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire in Geneva dated June 8, 1988 and a certificate from The Art Loss Register! Composed of fragments, small retouched losses. Provenance: Formerly in the Swiss private collection of M. C. (d. 1989), Geneva, acquired in the 1960s; in Germany since 2019; listed in the A. D. Trendall Archive of La Trobe University, Melbourne.
