Apulian red-figure nestoris form 3 of the Liverpool group. 330 - 320 BC H 15.8 cm, W with handles 14.4 cm. On one side a seated young woman with a donation bowl and wreath, on the other a seated native youth with pilos, doublet and boots, holding a box of fruit and also a wreath. Details in white and yellow. With a copy of the publication! Chipping to the foot, otherwise intact. Published in H. Froning, Kunstwerke der Dr. Meyer-Struckmann Stiftung - 200 Jahre Trinkhaus & Burkhardt (1985) pp. 142-143 no. 49. Cf. for example the piece Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg 1998.358 or a similarly decorated Nestoris in the Artizon Museum Tokyo (s.v. Liverpool Group / Kantharos).
