GEORGES JOUVE (1910-1964) LUCIENNE LAZON COLLECTION (1910-2007): "Sainte Véronique au linceul" Nyons/Dieulefit period, single piece, circa 1943-45. Sculpture. Glazed ceramic proof. Height: 24 cm This lot will be on view from November 15 to 28 with expert Emmanuel Eyraud 27 rue Saint-Dominique 75007 Paris Tel. +33.(0)1.45.54.97.51 Lucienne LAZON (1910-2007) Painter, engraver and jeweler, creator of the first Palme d'or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1955, member of the Société des Artiste Décorateurs. She was close to the sculptor Sébastien (1909-1990), whom she met in 1934 and who was a member of the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs, and who for many years created the terracotta bases for the Palmes d'Or. Lucienne LAZON and the JOUVE family were already close friends before the war. She subsequently participated alongside Georges JOUVE (1910-1964) in several events, including the 35th Salon de la Société des Artistes Décorateurs in Paris in 1949.
