"Thistle Gold" stemware service France, Manufacture Saint Louis, second half of the 20th century Crystal. Brand: "Cristal St. Louis France" engraved. Conservation: excellent These goblets are mouth-blown, carved and etched by hand in one of the world's most renowned and ancient manufactures. In fact, it was in 1586 that the Münzthal glassworks, the oldest in France, was founded, and two centuries later (1767) King Louis XV of France gave it the prestigious name of "Verrerie Royale de Saint-Louis."
