"Santa Margherita" table service Doccia, Richard-Ginori manufactory, second half of the 20th century Porcelain. Mark: "Richard-Ginori" with crown in green "Pittoria Richard Ginori" in gold cartouche; "Italy" in black. Conservation: very good; one flat plate with chipping This sumptuous pattern called "Santa Margherita," one of the most successful decorations to come out of the Tuscan manufactory, has gilt edges and is painted with European flowers in blue monochrome. The pattern of the tableware, called "Saxon style," sees the rim moved in imitation of a wicker basket and is taken from 18th-century Meissen porcelain The service for 12 people has 80 pieces and is composed as follows: 12 soup plates (diameter 23.7 cm); 12 flat plates (diameter 26.3 cm); 1 piece with chipping); 12 hors d'oeuvre plates (diameter 20 cm); 11 dessert plates (diameter 21.7 cm); 6 soup cups with underplate (cup height 5.3 cm; underplate diameter 18.2 cm); 1 soup tureen (height 19.8 cm ; 35.5 x 22.5 cm); 1 legume bowl (height 15 cm; 25x23.3 cm); 1 gravy boat; 1 salad bowl (height 10.2 cm; 25x25 cm); 1 riser (height 15.5 cm; diameter 26 cm); 2 round serving dishes (diameter 31.5 cm; diameter 29.3 cm); 1 oval serving dish (35x26.5 cm); 6 crescents (23.5x15.5 cm); 12 coffee cups with saucer (cup height 6.1 cm; saucer diameter 13.2 cm); 1 sugar bowl (height 12.4 cm)
