Lucas Cranach (1472-1553) Rest in Egypt with dancing putti. Circa 1510-1515. Woodcut. 238 x 340. Bartsch 4. Fine proof on old laid paper, from a slightly late print made from the worn wood, with small breaks in the horizon lines and around the edges, trimmed with a square line. Scattered light foxing. Median horizontal drying fold. Fine trace of vertical fold running 10-20 mm from right edge. Two short tears at edges. Upper left corner missing and redone in pen and ink. Very rare.
