Netsuke by Hoshu Yasuhide Japan, Meiji period, late 19th/early 20th century Wood and ivory with silver, brass and mother-of-pearl. Signed Hoshu with Kakihan on a silver or gilt panel. Standing Kannon, Avalokiteshvara, with lotus bud in his hands. The magnificent robe and headdress is decorated with mother-of-pearl, brass and ornaments. Movable earrings. H 7.7 cm.
