The most direct and convincing reference is the recent acquisition of the Ravenna Museum at the Hampel auction house in Munich. She was the daughter of the well-known Mannerist painter Luca Longhi, from whom she learned her first notions. Around 1570 she set up on her own although she maintained strong ties with her father's workshop. Her works are preserved in the Pinacoteca Nazionale in Bologna, the Museo Civico in Ravenna, the Gemäldegalerie in Dresden and the Pinacoteca Comunale in Faenza.
