GEORGES LUCIEN GUYOT (1885-1973) Panther Sharpening its Claws, large model, the model designed around [1927], print numbered 1 Sculpture. Black patina bronze proof. Lost wax casting. Early ante mortem edition. Signed G. GUYOT on the terrace, bears the inscribed stamp SUSSE Frs Edrs Paris and the mention Cire perdue also on the terrace and the circular stamp SUSSE Frères Éditeurs Paris and the number 1 on the edge of the terrace. Height: 77cm - Length: 68.5cm - Width: 17.5cm Provenance: Collection X., Paris. Acquired by the current owner's grandfather directly from the artist. The current owner's grandfather and mother were close friends of Georges Lucien Guyot. Important notice: We would like to thank Mr. Pierre Dumonteil for the information he provided on this work.
