The finest German book on Baroque architecture. An allegorical title-frontispiece and 58 (of 59) plates for the first part, and 40 plates for the second, making a total of 99 plates of architecture, gardens, fountains, etc. Double Vienna library stamp on verso of title. Without part 3, which contains 34 plates. Lined boards, some with small tears or restorations to the center fold. In Part 1, the caption on plate no. 38 has been slightly cut by the binder's knife, and a figure has been redrawn in pen in the center of plate no. 39. Worn binding.
