Alexandre Jardin published his first novel, Bille en tête, in 1986, when he was just twenty. His second novel, "Le Zèbre", won the Prix Femina in 1988 and was adapted for the cinema by Jean Poiret. Since then, Alexandre Jardin has written some thirty novels, several essays, founded the "Lire et faire lire" association and directed three feature films.
