A work that is influenced by the culture of Volterrano, as suggested by the mixtures of colors that create the incarnations of the allegorical figure and in the beautiful glare of light on the putto's face. This fascinating allegory of music of even Sweets-like sweetness has an earlier attribution to Onorio Marinari and could be placed at the stage dating from the period of his alumnuship with Baldassarre Franceschini, as handed down by Antonio Orlandi and biographer Gabburri
