Small mid-nineteenth-century album (1860) containing 20 compositions (mostly enhanced watercolor drawings) of characters from Singapore or Hong Kong.
In-8 oblong, 17 illustrated leaves, sometimes double-sided, the rest unused. Cloth vignette pasted on first endpaper "Chieunshing from Canton - Queen road west, n°190". Drawing of an opium pipe with captions on the flyleaf; figures and views of sites or buildings (3 leaves with a tear).
½ green long-grain chagrin with burgundy corners, rubbing.
