"The Monkey, the Forest and the New Man", is a piece intertextually related to the title of the short story "The Wolf, the Forest and the New Man" by the writer Senel Paz. In it, I face a dialogue with the anthropocentric hypocrisy of "human evolution". For this, I use pictorial art and its wisdom, through small modifications of cultural icons, I propose a reflection on the past, present and future of the species, where technology, while being liberation, has become an instrument of creation of a superlative ego: Jean Louis-David's Marat turned junkie, Klimt's muses worshipping a sex-toy, Jan Saudek's girl with a revolver, the sacred pixelated heart... all walking along the path of the yellow slabs, heading for the Land of Oz accompanied by the extractor of the stone of madness that Bosch gave us.
