ANTONIO COLLADO (Balaguer, Lleida, 1956). "Transmutation", 1990. Bronze. Edition 5/7. Signed and sealed. Marble base. Work published in "Antonio Collado 1973-1998", by José Mas and Guillem Viladot, p. 62. Measurements: 42 x 22 x 21 cm. The painter and sculptor Antonio Collado felt interest in art since childhood, and in 1973, at the age of seventeen, he held his first exhibition in the hall of the Chamber of Commerce in his hometown. Since then he has held regular exhibitions, both in Spain and abroad. He was self-taught and began his production from the pictorial figuration, to gradually evolve towards informalism and, currently, focus on the investigation of expressive abstraction. Since 1988, he has also dedicated himself to sculpture, a field in which he also explores the boundaries between figuration and abstraction. He has received several awards and is currently represented in various public and private collections.
