Archive of over 45 letters concerning the Duchesse de Bourbon Louise Marie Thérese Bathilde d'Orléans (1750/1822), mother of the Duc D'Enghien (shot in 1804 on the orders of Napoleon I). In these letters, numerous allusions are made to politics, daily life at the time and royalty.... Note a pious image with indulgence after his death. Correspondence with Prefect De Carrère between 1814 and 1816 (several well-known figures are mentioned). These letters are either signed by the duchess, or marked with her seal. A very rare and historic set.
