Jean GIRARDOT 50-key perforated cardboard orchestra organ. The front features five musicians in polychrome carved wood, including a conductor beating time and 4 figures flanking him, ringing bells, bells and drums. The décor, in the spirit of the 1900's, is illustrated with portraits of young women and carved wooden sweethearts. Beautifully crafted, this organ required 20 years of the organ builder's life to create this unique instrument. His masterpiece. An electric motor drives a large cast-iron wheel that operates an organ with 50 keys, 400 flutes, bass drum, snare drum, 5 automatic registers, a robot that drives a Yamaha PSR 75 electronic organ and/or a metallophone. It contains a large number of cardboard boxes (Paul Eynar, G. Collomb...) and the Mélotrope series... (wear and stains). It's in very good condition and works well, but needs servicing for regular use. The whole instrument is mounted on a two-axle chassis with hitch.
