in ro-iro lacquer, rectangular in shape, the lid decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e, nashi-ji and kirigane with two cranes near a stream, the reverse of the lid decorated with large chrysanthemums; the interior, in nashi-ji lacquer, features a tray, an ink stone and an old gilded sentoku mizuhire depicting a peach.
