in shaded brown lacquered wood, the long sides of the lid, rim and bottom reinforced with a series of gilded copper fittings, chased with foliage and embellished with the Tokugawa clan mon, of the "maruni-mitsubaaoi" type, three hollyhock leaves in a circle; the interior in rough natural wood.
