17th-century Flemish school, entourage of Isaac SOREAU "Fruits dans de la porcelaine Wan-li et gobelet de fleurs" (fragment) Oil on oak panel (small gap, lifts to right) On reverse, a panel mark. 20.2 x 56 cm The composition of this fragment echoes that of a painting formerly on deposit at the Kunsthalle Zurich (Edith Griendl, Les peintres flamands de nature morte au XVIIe siècle, Sterrebeek, Belgium, Ed. d'art Michel Lefebvre 1983 ill.40, p.68). The bowl of blackberries and the dish of grapes are almost identical, while on the right, branches of redcurrants have replaced the dish of plums.
