Oval shape, slightly flared at the top, engraved on one side with the interlaced monogram A. N. under imperial crown of Tsarevich Alexander Nikolayevich of Russia, future Tsar Alexander II (1818-1881), and on the other side the double-headed eagle of the Romanoffs under imperial crown, resting on four scrolled feet decorated with finely chased foliage au naturel, with openwork handles on the edges of foliage branches. Slight age wear, but overall good condition. Inventory number of the imperial palace furniture repository: 3 - 4 tt - 21 ¾.
Title hallmark: 84, Saint Petersburg, 1843.
Goldsmith's hallmark: Carl Tegelsten, active from 1821 to 1855.
