First version of the memoirs of this former hoodlum, actor and slang specialist. The book was published by Fournier in 1946, with a foreword by Jean Gabin and a preface by Pierre Lhoste.
Trignol's works include Le Dénicheur, Pierrot le Fou, Baptistin Travail... Typed transcript attached.
Enclosed: - another autograph manuscript, in green ink and pencil -(oblong 88-page in-8 notebook): "It was in 1930 that I began in the cinema. I had made the acquaintance of Francis Carco"...; - a L.A.S. to Pierre Lhoste, and autograph notes on Saturnin Fabre, Jeanne la Peau Rouge, book plan (15p. various formats) - corrected proofs of the book under the title De Paname à Pantruche, with autograph annotations in green ink; - a red pen drawing, self-portrait (?) signed (19.5 x 13.5 cm); - an amusing portrait of Trignol, in black and colored pencil by Fayard (?), 1946 (20 x 31 cm); - a typed note of Roger Borniche's service record.
