Polish visual artist, painter and sculptor Tomasz Kawiak, known as "Tomek", is the author of numerous artistic gestures: barter-art exchanges, brickwork of the world, the metric system and its narrowing, circumstantial drawings... In 1970, he created "Tomek's Pain", the first ecological and social action in Communist Poland. Creator-inventor of clothing sculpture using "Jeans" and enlarged "pockets", created in patinated bronze and marble, representing symbols of our times. Since 1997, he has been carrying out his "Long March of Jeans" project, initially planned for China and subsequently presented worldwide. Since 1970, he has exhibited worldwide, and is represented in numerous public and private collections in Europe, the United States, Latin America, Japan, China, Korea and Australia.
