She is seated among shields, a cuirass and sword; the maid at left pouring the the ashes into the cup held by Artemisia; through a window at right view of the mausoleum and Artemisia burning the body of King Mausolus on a pyre. Engraving made by: Georg Pencz, titled in a cartouche on top and signed PG on the shield. c.1539 / Dimensions: 19,50 x 13,50 cm / Condition: Good early impression of this larger print. With full plate border and tread margins on watermarked laid paper. Remains of hinges on the backside.
