The painting shows Diana and her nymphs after bathing. In the centre, Diana is sitting on a boulder with a blue cloth over her. She has crossed one leg over the other so that a nymph can tie the sandal around her and is leaning on another companion. In front of her rest two hunting dogs and her hunting weapon, the bow and quiver. To the left and right of the centre group, nymphs dry themselves with towels after bathing and offer their charms to the viewer. In the background, three more nymphs are bathing in the river, which is lined with steep banks and rocky hills. In the background, the view opens onto a mountain range in the distance. The composition is completed on the left by a tree from which a nymph has hung her bow and quiver. The style with the frieze-like arrangement of the figures in the foreground is already characterised by early Classicism. Oil on wood, 65 × 95 cm
