Related to a lost composition by Pieter de Witte, engraved by Jan Sadeler, and known from a two-part copperplate version (20 x 24 cm) in the Bergamo museum (Francesco Rossi, Academia Carrara. Bergamo. Catalogo dei dipinti, p. 115, no. 188 & 187 - Bergamo 1979) and a few rare early reproductions (Prague, Helsinki).
