FRENCH SCHOOL First Quarter of the 18th century Portrait of Claude Nicolas Esbrayat, Seigneur d'Estival and Knight of the Royal and Military Order of Saint Louis, Governor of Velay in 1713 Oil on canvas (small dent in lower center) H. 80 - L. 62 cm. On the reverse, an old handwritten label on a sheet of paper gives the identity of the model and specifies: "Husband of Marianne Thérèse de Colonna d'Ornano - Father of Madame de Rideberg, widow Pélissier de Mordon, who was the mother of Madame Treyveys".
