Anatole de la FORGE (1820-1892). French journalist and politician. Republican. Wrote for Le Siècle. In 1870, he joined Gambetta in Tours. Replaced Henri Martin at the Ligue des Patriotes. Deputy for the Seine.

- L.a.s. "Anatole de la Forge" Veules-en-Caux (Seine-Inf.) September 14, 1882, 2 pp. in-8 oblong. To Henri Martin, announcing that he has just obtained permission to adopt the daughter: "of a poor sailor who died suddenly two years ago..." whose literary works Victor Hugo, their beach neighbor, had just encouraged.
