Paul DOUMER was assassinated in Paris on May 6, 1932 by Paul Gorgulov, a mentally ill Russian émigré. After a funeral at Notre-Dame and the Pantheon, he was buried on May 12, 1932 in the family vault in the Vaugirard cemetery.
