With their victory over Croatia in the final, France became the first nation to win back-to-back Olympic (2008), World (2009) and Continental titles. The team led by Jérôme FERNANDEZ and coached by Claude ONESTA included Daniel NARCISSE (absent at lunch), Thierry OMEYER and Nikola KARABATIC.
