The present edition with the Dutch expansion by Reyer Anslo (first published in 1648) and 13 additional engravings by Pieter Holsteyn. The etchings mostly laterally reversed engravings without biblical passages; the accompanying verses like the copper title "Icones biblicae" in 5 languages with Dutch explanations. - Foxing and waterstaining throughout, some marginal tears and brownstains, copper title with corner tear with loss of image, last leaf with tear, old ownership inscription and mod.
