Extensive cookbook containing hundreds of recipes for soups, bakeries, pies and tarts, cold and hot meat, poultry and fish dishes, etc. "Tres interesting ouvrage sur la cuisine... Les figures de ce livre fort rare des plus curieuses" (Vicaire). The engravings with a wide variety of cake structures, show dishes, garnishes and pies. The Rhinelander C. Hagger was first a cook for the Archbishop of Chiemsee and from 1701 entered the service of the Prince Archbishop Johann Ernst of Salzburg, where he worked for 27 years. - The information on the title (318 engravings) is incorrect, plate 204 is as always unprinted, thus complete with 303 engravings. - With page markings. Partly slightly stained, altogether a good copy.
