Beautiful portrait of the composer, with a dedication to the dancer Madame MARIQUITA, who choreographed the ballet Javotte, to music by Saint-Saëns: "à Madame Mariquita, souvenir de Javotte C. Saint-Saëns". [Javotte, ballet first performed at the Grand Théâtre de Lyon on December 3, 1896, and revived at the Opéra-Comique on October 23, 1899, where Madame Mariquita was ballet mistress].
