Large buffet, German, probably Nuremberg, last third of the 19th century, in the style of the 16th - 17th century, solid oak, lower and middle section with three doors, upper section with four doors, richly carved with half and fully sculpted ornaments and figures (bacchantes, fauns playing music and lansquenets, portraits and animal heads, some in medallions), the middle section with three reliefs after famous Dutch genre paintings of the 17th century (Ostade, Breughel, von Steen), 6 x 7.5 cm, decorated with a large, carved panel. (Ostade, Breughel, von Steen), 266 x 80 cm h: 240 cm, can be dismantled into three parts, detached gluing to profiles and construction, pull-out panels warped, one drawer jammed and damaged at the box, eclectic mixture of motifs from antiquity, the Renaissance and the Dutch "Golden Age" in keeping with the aesthetics of historicism.
