Lidded goblet with the monogram of King Frederick William II of Prussia Colorless, slightly greyish glass. Slightly ascending disc base, faceted and honeycomb-faceted baluster stem and conical bowl. Matching, corresponding cut lid with pointed knob. Decor in etched gold painting, the crowned ligature monogram "FWR" with laurel branches on the front, floral motifs on the back and on the lid. Minimal wear to the lid fold; h. 34.2 cm. A Brandenburg Zechlin or Saxon cut glass goblet with gilt monogram of King Frederick William II of Prussia. The cover with minor chips to the interior of rim. German. Saxon or Zechlin. Circa 1786-1797.
