Courtly rococo longcase clock, carved wood, painted sea green and partially silver-plated. Single-door body rising conically from a curved base on volute feet, flanked by sloping corner pilaster strips in leaf relief. Round clock head above, framed by wide rocailles and a sculpted bust. Curved, rising upper end with large vase finial. Cream-colored dial with small seconds and date display. Movement with lever escapement and striking mechanism on two bells. H. 270 cm. A courtly carved and silvered wood Rococo long case clock. Potsdam. Circa 1770.
