Finely decorated iron and brass furniture lock. Rectangular box shape. The lock lid with a relief depiction of the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Bavaria (1807-1835) with a typical diamond pattern and the crossed symbols of sovereignty - sword and sceptre under a royal crown - in the central shield. The shield is flanked by two Palatinate lions as shield holders. Lock with two latches (split double latch) and a split bolt. Original full tang key. H. 11.3 cm. 19.5 cm x 3.5 cm. A South German brass and iron chest lock with the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Bavaria. With key. South German. Early 19th century.
