Chipboard box with strolling pair of softwood. Oval body. Polychrome painting. Lid plate with strolling couple in Biedermeier costume surrounded by a tree-lined landscape. Banners. On the wall surrounding wreaths with stylized, shaded branches and flowers over a pink background framed by blue ribbons. Signs of wear due to age. L. 47.5 cm, w. 31.5 cm, h. 23 cm.
Provenance: largest North German private collection of chipboard boxes, exhibited at the Schloss Museum Wolfenbüttel in 1999.
